TaxiSimilar.pt – Terms & Conditions for Passengers 

1. Scope of Service

1.1. TaxiSimilar.pt ("TaxiSimilar") operates primarily as an intermediary platform, connecting passengers with independent licensed drivers and operators.
1.2. In certain cases, TaxiSimilar.pt may also provide transportation services directly, using its own licensed vehicles and drivers, fully covered by the required permits and insurances.
1.3. By booking a service, the passenger accepts that the transportation may be performed either by an independent operator or directly by TaxiSimilar.pt.

2. Booking & Payments

2.1. When making a booking through TaxiSimilar.pt, you enter into a transport agreement either:

• directly with the assigned driver/operator, or

• with TaxiSimilar.pt, when TaxiSimilar acts as the service provider.
  2.2. TaxiSimilar may process the payment on behalf of the driver/operator. The agreed fare is confirmed at the time of booking.
  2.3. Any additional costs (delays caused by passengers, extra waiting time, or route changes) are the sole responsibility of the passenger and payable directly to the driver.

3. Cancellation & Refund Policy

3.1. Cancellations made more than 3 hours before the scheduled start of the service are eligible for a 100% refund.
3.2. Cancellations made within 3 hours less of the scheduled service are non-refundable.
3.3. No-shows or failure to appear at the pickup point will be considered a late cancellation and are non-refundable.

4. Liability Disclaimer

4.1. When TaxiSimilar.pt acts as an intermediary, it cannot be held responsible for:

• Delays, cancellations, or route changes,

• Accidents, injuries, damages, or losses occurring during the journey,

• Driver conduct or negligence.
  4.2. When TaxiSimilar.pt provides the service directly, it accepts responsibility as the licensed operator in compliance with Portuguese law.
  4.3. Any claims or disputes related to the transport must be addressed directly to the service provider (independent driver/operator or TaxiSimilar.pt, depending on the case).

5. Passenger Responsibilities

5.1. Passengers must provide accurate booking details (date, time, pickup and drop-off points).
5.2. In case of incorrect information, missed connections, or no-shows, no refund will be guaranteed.
5.3. Passengers must comply with safety regulations (seat belts, luggage limits, no smoking, etc.).

6. Governing Law

6.1. These Terms are governed by Portuguese law.
6.2. Any disputes shall be resolved under the jurisdiction of the courts of Marco de Canaveses, Portugal.

7. Acceptance of Terms

By booking through TaxiSimilar.pt, you acknowledge and agree that:

• TaxiSimilar may act either as an intermediary or as a direct transport provider,

• Cancellation policies are binding (non-refundable within 12h, refundable above 12h),

• Liability depends on the party executing the service,

• TaxiSimilar's role is fully compliant with Portuguese transport and tourism licensing requirements.
